Vinceremos lives up to its unusual name by striking Gold

in the Soil Association Organic Food Awards 2012.

For the third time in four years specialist organic wine importer, Vinceremos, has taken the top prize in the most prestigious and widely respected awards in the organic sector.

The meaning of Vinceremos loosely translates from Latin as “we will win” – perfectly apt when considering that the judges were so impressed with both their Australian red Shiraz-Malbec 2006, from Temple Bruer, and white Inzolia ‘Era’ 2011, from Cantine Volpi, that they couldn’t be separated and so jointly shared ‘Overall Winner’ of the Wine & Spirits category.

And the conquering didn’t stop there, as Vinceremos also scooped 6 of 8 ‘Highly Commended’ Awards, and 4 of 5 ‘Commended’ in the same category.

Vinceremos is long-established as one of the UK’s best organic wine importers, having previously won this competition in 2011 with an Argentinean Malbec and in 2009 with a Crozes Hermitage.

Jem Gardener, owner of Vinceremos Organic Wines said:

“We’re delighted to win this award again, especially because we also received so many commendations. The results are the best possible endorsement of our efforts to hone our range. We passionately believe in organic grape-growing and wine-making, but first and foremost our wines must be delicious. The joint winners are from very different sources but share immediate appeal and offer great value for money”.

In total 540 products were entered in the Awards, which were tasted at the Duke of Cambridge organic bar and restaurant in Islington in early July.

Vinceremos’ commended wines were from Argentina, Chile, France, Italy and Spain.
