TED Members Collaborate on Major Sustainable Building Project
The Woolly Shepherd, Driedee Interieur and Space Design Studios are working together on a major building refurbishment project after meeting through Think.Eat.Drink, showing the power of collaboration on sustainability.
Woolly Shepherd Director Tim Simmons first met Steve Curtis from Space Design Studios at a T.E.D Founder Member’s meeting, where they briefly discussed a future project that might interest both of them.
“When Driedee Interieur joined T.E.D later and was profiled in the newsletter, I contacted them to see if they would be interested in Natural Acoustics products,” explained Tim Simmons, “I then discovered Driedee was in fact project Manager on the very same job I had been discussing with Space Design Studios.”
The company representatives then met the client together to look at the site and come up with a sustainable solution to a specific acoustics problem in their building. The result of all this is that in November The Woolly Shepherd will be providing an integrated ceiling solution for a religious centre in Potters Bar thanks to T.E.D.
Steve Watts of Driedee Interieur commented that T.E.D is a valuable resource for his company, a founding member, “Working closely with The Woolly Shepherd we have resolved outstanding issues for a prestigious 1600 square metre wedding venue. We find fellow T.E.D members a reliable trusted source of like-minded problem solvers.”
