The newly refurbished Waterhouse restaurant opened by the “Shoreditch Trust’s Social Enterprise” & our own Jamie Grainger-Smith has kicked off with a real bang. This unique venue for foodies is also the host to a real asset to the local community. The Shoreditch Trust is a charity that supports and empowers communities to tackle inequality and exclusion across deprived neighborhoods in the London Borough of Hackney with a particular concentration on activity in Shoreditch.
Focusing on the root causes of inequality, they aim to help individuals, families and communities improve their mental, physical and social wellbeing. Waterhouse Restaurant is also host to the Trust’s Blue Marble Training programme which supports and nurtures individuals with who might not otherwise get the opportunity to develop a career in food.
Cleaner Products were asked by Jamie Grainger-Smith to become involved with the project and the managing director Nathan Reilly had no hesitation on taking on the challenge personally. Nathan commented “ We feel honoured to be asked to play a part in this unique concept and we will support Amrit and his team every step of the way”.
The Waterhouse the Head Chef and Manager Amrit Bhachu commented:
“We were keen to select a supply company for our cleaning products who had the right environmental accreditations and we opted for Cleaner Products Limited, they are a fellow member of Think.Eat.Drink and what a wise choice it was, the products are excellent quality, sensible priced and very effective. They came to our aid very quickly and I would have no hesitation in recommending them”.
