Issue 1- 2012
We hope you enjoyed our very first newsletter earlier this month, here’s another quick update from Jamie and the team at Think.Eat.Drink.
Jamie Grainger-Smith, Founder, T.E.D says:
"We want and need to change the food and drink industry, we believe that it can become more responsible and we’re aiming to inspire operators and the general public to make that needed step change. We have had so much support for what we have achieved with Acorn House and Waterhouse Restaurants that I feel sure a sustainable approach is not only what people want, it is the future of the hospitality industry."
New Operating Member
Leading restaurant group First Restaurant Group has joined T.E.D Members. Comprising some of London’s best restaurants, pubs and bars, First Restaurant Group’s venues include a wealth of establishments including The Waterway in Maida Vale, The Running Horse, The Summerhouse, The Clerk and Well and Harry Morgan Restaurants. Boasting a range of diverse cuisines from modern French dishes to traditional English pub lunches, its restaurants provide endless options to suit any palate.
First Restaurant Group’s Operations Director, Oliver Etridge, said, “We’re proud to have joined this pioneering scheme that is helping us to set the benchmark for more sustainable practices. We’re confident that T.E.D’s team of sustainability consultants will help us to develop strong eco principles and with their guidance we hope to achieve our CSR goals”.
