Hastings Pier

Hastings Pier

Think.Eat.Drink's Jamie Grainger-Smith was asked by Simon Opie, Chief Executive of the Hastings Pier and White Rock Trust, to create a feasibility report on their suggested renovations for the pier. Jamie continued to aid the Trust and was part of the team that won funding from the National Lottery by acting as an advisor on business, catering and sustainability issues.

The rebuilding of Hastings Pier is a cause that has been loudly championed by people of the town. Hard work and commitment has seen £11.4m raised from the Heritage Lottery Fund and over £2m from other institutional sources  (March 2014).

In addition to this, Think.Eat.Drink recently provided a seasonal and sustainable dinner at Fairlight Hall to raise additional funds for completion of the works on the pier.
